Editorial standards
Every story is built from at least two sources, one of them official (an agency posting, a statute, a court filing or a company's own release). Numbers, dates and quotes are checked against those sources and the sources are listed under each story.
Data briefs (marked "Data brief") are generated from official postings such as FDOT letting tables. They state only what the posting says.
Sponsored content, sponsored reviews and paid placements are always labeled "Sponsored". Advertisers never see or approve editorial ratings before publication, and cannot buy a score.
Company listings marked "From public license list" come from the state's licensee file. They are not endorsements and have not been reviewed by the business until it is marked "Claimed".
