The Florida Department of Transportation began work on an eastbound auxiliary lane on Interstate 4 in Tampa on Oct. 16, 2026, according to the FDOT Tampa Bay project page (FPID 445057-2-52-01). The $10.7 million contract went to Webber LLC, and completion is expected in late 2027.
